Professor Chen Wei has taught Chinese medicine and medicinal botany for more than twenty years. Raised in a herb-drying family in southern Anhui, he learned plant seasons from his grandmother before he learned them from books. He now lectures on herbal conditioning and writes carefully about classical preparation methods.
